About this timelapse

Watch the Timelapse: Construction and engineering raise a neighborhood skatepark on a park clearing. The building process starts on level turf, pours the concrete pad and grows the quarter pipe until the rail and ledge are in place. This AI architecture keeps a useful compact jobsite readable, where everyday works and local infrastructure stay at human scale. On site every pour, curved form and rail footing must stay aligned with the plane trees and the gravel path. A clear piece of recreational engineering meant for people learning to ride in a real park. Follow the transformation to the skater on the rail and subscribe to Rapid Build Lab for the next build.

The images used to create the video

Single static vertical 9:16 YouTube Shorts still for a construction timelapse. Fixed camera about 2 meters above ground, oblique eye-level view from about 16 meters from the central clearing, horizon at one third from the top. Flat neighborhood park on a clear afternoon. Foreground low grass and a packed-earth edge. Center: a leveled grassy clearing about 14 meters wide and 10 meters deep, sparse grass and compact ochre soil. Left: a row of mature plane trees with green leaves and grey trunks. Right: a light-gravel path running toward the background. Background: low plastered residential buildings and a band of blue sky with thin clouds. Natural light from upper left, short sharp contact shadows, slightly warm natural photographic color grading, depth of field enough to read trees, path and facades. No vehicles, no people, no structure in the center of the clearing.

In the center a raw grey concrete slab 12 meters by 8 meters and 18 centimeters thick, still matte surface with visible contraction joints. On the far short side the curved quarter-pipe formwork is in place and the pour reaches mid-height, about 60 centimeters, leaving the upper transition reinforcement exposed. Rail and ledge are not present. Two workers with helmets and high-visibility vests set a formwork board on the far side. To the right of the slab remain three formwork panels and a pile of rebar. The slab occupies the central clearing without covering the plane trees or the path.

Fixed camera about 2 meters above ground, oblique eye-level view from about 16 meters from the central clearing, horizon at one third from the top. Flat neighborhood park on a clear afternoon. Foreground low grass and a packed-earth edge. Center: the finished skate pad with free space around it. Left: a row of mature plane trees with green leaves and grey trunks. Right: a light-gravel path running toward the background. Background: low plastered residential buildings and a band of blue sky with thin clouds. Natural light from upper left, short sharp contact shadows, slightly warm natural photographic color grading. Smooth grey concrete slab 12 meters by 8 meters. On the far short side a concrete quarter pipe 1.2 meters high and 4 meters wide with a continuous transition and steel-pipe copings. On the left side a 4-meter galvanized steel rail rests on two concrete footings. On the right side a concrete ledge 40 centimeters high and 5 meters long flanks the deck. A drainage grate runs along the right side. One helmeted skater with a skateboard rides the rail at center-left, realistic scale, not covering the quarter pipe. No construction equipment, clean surfaces.
